（中央社馬尼拉13日綜合外電報導）菲律賓公務船10日擊斃一名台灣漁民，雙方爭議有逐漸升高趨勢，菲律賓總統艾奎諾三世今天呼籲台菲雙方冷靜處理有關事件。

艾奎諾三世說，菲律賓駐台官員已經跟台灣外交部官員會談，並保證已就發生事件進行調查。

艾奎諾三世告訴記者：「我認為，以冷靜的方式進行對雙方都有利。我們正在以這種方式進行。」

對於台灣方面要求菲國政府道歉等條件，艾奎諾三世拒絕評論。

他表示，此事最好讓外交官處理這項爭議。
